Australian flora is unique in the world and has a wide and unique range of health properties. Thanks to the generosity and sharing of many indigenous people, this knowledge is now beginning to enter mainstream research, health care and pharmaceutical arenas.

However, much of the knowledge is still in specialist pockets – hence the formation of the Indigenous Plants for Health Association. We believe that there are community health benefits in sharing knowledge of our unique, health-promoting plants widely.

Our focus includes community engagement in the protection, propagation, plant sales and the development of plant based medicinal products. For more about our organization, visit our About Us page.

We’re a volunteer collaboration of researchers, health practitioners and plant lovers, mostly based across NSW and Queensland. You can meet our current Committee Members HERE

We run community events such as field days regularly. To learn more about what’s coming up, check out our Events page HERE

Do you love plants, knowledge, health and the outdoors?
